Hotel Brotnjo is located in Čitluk, a town very close to the great Marian sanctuary and pilgrimage destination (three kilometers from it,precisely) – Medjugorje. Since the day it was built in 1976., the hotel attracted plenty of attention because of it's modern design and the diversity of what it has to offer.
All this made it become a recognizable spot and favourite destination in the area of Brotnjo. This region is well known for wine growing and production, and there are many well known wineproducers gathered here. Some of the wines produced here are served in many famous and prestigious restaurants in Europe.
This is a favourite gathering place for youth as well as for older generations. Here you can also find the cultural elite of the city. In time, Hotel Brotnjo became a symbol of the town Čitluk and a well known place for entertainment with pleasant accomodation.
In spite of the happenings in the nineties the hotel worked all the time. It was damaged, neglected for many years and badly maintained. All this led to the closing of the hotel doors in 2001. The restoration started in fall, 2005. It was a reconstruction, adaptation and extension-job all in one.
Hotel Brotnjo in Čitluk, as it is today, opened it's doors to the first guests in August, 2007.
Only a month later, the IHRA experts (International Hotel & Restaurant Association) acknowledged Hotel Brotnjo making it a member. This is an exceptional honour, a commitment, and a proof of the Hotel's ranking in the top tier of hotels which is done by proffessionals and experts
